The Author
The Osiris Diaries represent the realisation of an idea; an idea from the mind of Lewis Glynn, thinker of thoughts and writer of words.
It’s strange to think such a curious combination of the past, politics and popular culture would exist in a single mind, especially when melded with the marvel of motorsport. But it is indeed this fusion that has created what you see before you.
The Story
It began as one might expect. It began with genetics. From fathers to sons, a generational obsession with motorsport now lives on in its sole heir. It is with such things that the past plays its’ part, perhaps setting in motion the chain of events that would lead to an official education in archaeology. It was the very importance of the past that led to an unfaltering hunger for understanding; a hunger that will never truly be satisfied.
This past exists only through the complex forces of power, control and influence. As such, the lure of politics was an irresistible consequence; to involve oneself with that which surrounds, penetrates and binds us together. Not difficult to see, then, how this obsession would lead inexorably towards the realm of fantasy and science fiction.
An education in archaeology, a lifetime in motorsport and a passion for politics and popular culture.
Without the past there can be no present for us to look to the future. The human experience exists on narrative. Where would we be in the absence of stories?
Past. Present. Power.
At the end of it all, what is it really about?
People.
